An Amber Alert was issued by Virginia State Police and he is considered to be in extreme danger.
A note demanding ten thousand dollars was left on scene. His stepfather was allegedly knocked unconscious and beaten about the face and Aveion Malik Lewis’s four year old sister was bound and gagged.
Aveion’s mother had just returned from work when she discovered the injured stepfather. Along with the bound and gagged four year old, there were two other children in the home, ages two and eleven months. They were unharmed.
The incident happened at around 6:40 pm, January 14, 2010 at a duplex apartment in the 2100 block of King Charles Avenue in Southeast Roanoke.
Three men are said to have entered the home, ransacking it and leaving with an unspecified amount of cash and baby Aveion Malik Lewis.
Aveion’s birthday is January 26th, 2007. He is black, and described as being 2’6” and weighing 26 pounds. He has black hair, cut close to his head and he has brown eyes. He was wearing yellow Sponge Bob Squarepants footie pajamas at the time of his alleged abduction.
A 90’s model white Chevrolet Blazer was witnessed leaving the scene.
The three suspects were described as black males. One was in his late 20s and was 6 feet, 2 inches tall, with a dark complexion, medium build and was wearing a black sweatshirt, jacket and scarf.
Another was in his late 20s and was 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a light complexion, medium to muscular build with dread-locked hair and slanted eyes and was wearing a red St. Louis Cardinals baseball cap.
The third was 5 feet, 11 inches tall with a light complexion and thin build and was wearing a black hat with white writing on it, a white shirt and blue jeans.
Police have a possible sighting of the vehicle in question in Richmond, Virginia and are intensely searching the area.
Can you even begin to fathom this crime? Can you imagine the excruciating terror this little baby boy is experiencing right now? This is one of those times that a hoax would be such a relief!
What kind of people do this to children? You have issues and take your problems out on little babies? How cowardly! How utterly contemptible and whoever is responsible should face extreme consequences in my opinion. Cowardice surely doesn’t deserve a plea bargain, does it?
