Palm Beach, Florida – Jeffrey Edward Epstein, 57, a Palm Beach billionaire who pleaded guilty to soliciting an underage girl for prostitution and received a one year house arrest sentence, is a free man today.
When very young girls and women came forward with allegations of performing sexual massages on Epstein, he was allowed to quickly cut a deal with prosecutors. He plead guilty to just one count of soliciting prostitution, hence the house arrest punishment.

Police began an investigation of Jeffrey Epstein in March of 2005. The Palm Beach Police Department alleged in an affidavit that Epstein, then 53, had a pattern of paying underage girls to participate in sexual activity with him. He was eventually indicted on a felony solicitation of prostitution rap.
Epstein had his own overpaid legal dream team to guide him through the money clouded justice system, among them Gerald B. Lefcourt, Alan Dershowitz and later Kenneth Starr.
The lawyers maintained that Jeffrey Epstein, now known as the freed billionaire sex offender, never knew of the under-age status of the girls he hired, stating he passed a lie detector test.
Jeffrey Epstein keeps pretty good company. Donald Trump once referred to him as a “terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
He once flew Bill Clinton to Africa, using his own private Boeing 727 jet.

Conchitta Sarnoff, from the Daily Beast was able to unearth shocking new details of Epstein’s alleged sexcapades with teenagers.
Micheal Reiter, former Chief of Police in Palm Beach, granted Sarnoff exclusive access to a previously sealed deposition.
“In March 2005, Reiter’s department, acting on a complaint from the Florida parents of a 14-year-old girl, launched an investigation that would eventually uncover a pattern of predatory behavior stretching back years and spanning several continents, knowingly enabled by Epstein’s associates and employees. Two or three times a day, whenever Epstein was in Palm Beach, a teenage girl would be brought to the mansion on El Brillo Way. (“The younger the better,” he instructed Haley Robson, a local teenager who was paid to bring other girls to the house, and who declared, on a police tape, that she was “like a Heidi Fleiss,” the infamous California madam.)”
During Epstein’s year long house arrest, he somehow managed to make a few trips a month to his home in New York as well trips to his very own Caribbean island.

• Palm Beach’s police chief objected to Epstein’s “special treatment” and gave The Daily Beast an exclusive look at his nine-hour deposition about the investigation.
• Earlier versions of the U.S attorney’s charges, including a sealed 53-page indictment, could have landed Epstein in prison for 20 years.
• Victims alleged that Epstein molested underage girls from South America, Europe, and the former Soviet republics, including three 12-year-old girls brought over from France as a birthday gift.
• The victims also alleged trips out of state and abroad on Epstein’s private jets, which would be evidence of sex trafficking—a much more serious federal crime than the state charges Epstein was convicted of.
• Epstein’s attorneys investigated members of the Palm Beach Police Department, while others ordered private investigators to follow and intimidate the victims’ families; one even posed as a police officer.
• Then-Attorney General Alberto Gonzales told The Daily Beast that he “would have instructed the Justice Department to pursue justice without making a political mess.”
Several civil lawsuits were filed and all settled out of court after prosecutors cut a deal with Jeffrey Epstein regarding his sex scandal. It’s believed that each of his victims received over a million dollars compensation, a mere drop in the bucket to a hedge fund mogul worth more than a billion!
Spencer Kuvin, an attorney for three of the alleged victims, says Epstein’s release Wednesday will close the book on one ugly chapter of his client’s lives. I tend to disagree, as I am unaware of anyone ever closing the book completely after sexual misconduct abuse. There’s always that nagging little trust factor that gets in the way of minor and major decision making.

Is there another soul on the planet, that if placed in the same circumstances as Epstein, that would be given the same deal —- if they were ‘poor’ to ‘middle class’?
No.
We are supposed to have the best judicial system in the world, and justice is supposed to be blind. But it sure seems like Lady Justice gets her vision back when it’s a high profile, wealthy individual involved in any crime.

I totally understand that older men like younger girls, and young girls like money, but good grief—can’t these men control themselves until the girl is of legal age?
Why does it seem so hard for the wealthy to follow simple, basic laws, i.e. don’t have sex with minors? They’re supposed to be so much smarter than the average, poor, dirty old man that gets caught and does serious prison time!

Money Talks! Wish I had some of it to help my son when he was 20 and in college with a young girl (1 month from 16 yo)who came to his college. Money would have bought us a good attorney, but instead for no sex , kissing/touching , he received risk of injury to a minor / 2nd degree sexual assault / he was thrown of of his private college/went to jail for 6 weeks, went to Sex Offender meetings / Probation /Parole /all expensive 10 years now on a computer as a sex offender / humiliated and it still goes on now, his and our familes nightmare. He was a kid, now a man. All because in this circumstance without money he couldn’t even get a fair deal, no other offenses before(just a speeding ticket) or since , sad unfair system. It changed the course ofhis life and made it so hard to find a job / have insurance , etc…!!!

@Marisa: Our one size fits all sex offender laws are a bunch of bullcrap. We need to overhaul the registry and keep one for dangerous predators only. So many young boys/men have had their lives ruined for no reason, other than he said/she said or some girl lied about her age, or some secretary got mad at the boss for hugging her at an office party. The sex offender registry serves no purpose other than to humiliate…it does nothing to keep predators from preying on their victims.

Congratulations Mr. Epstein. If I were a young girl, I would come and dance for you. Let’s see this as a teachable moment. Money can buy compassion in the courtroom. I do believe that he won’t reoffend but I hope now he will use his wealth to help other ex-offenders get some justice in America.

I think he should’ve been prosecuted. Paying the families rstitution, does not bring back their inocense. He should of been convicted.

Epstein, another man – like Polanski – crushes the legal system with money and with connections in high places. Attains immunity for his crime for which others would suffer a life-long punishment and condemnation.
