A Japanese lingerie maker, Triumph, has a new idea to ‘lift’ tourism. Imagine world leaders attending the APEC meeting arriving at the airport terminal and greeted with a Welcome Bra! Yes! Nothing says welcome more than a Welcome Bra, and it says “Welcome to Japan” in three different languages; English, Chinese and Korean. Just push the button on the bustier and the bra talks. That alone, a talking bra, is worth the price of an airline ticket!

A couple days ago I wrote about the new line of magnetic lingerie from the French company, Lingerie Dement. So this has been an awesome week for me, being able to write not one, but two stories about fun lingerie. And here I thought that the ‘wine-rack bra’ would be the best gift to give this coming Christmas! This has certainly been a great year for innovations in lingerie technology.

I can only imagine what is next? Many would think that previous innovations in bras that helped, let us say, add to a lady’s physique was significant enough. But this year, scientists, engineers and inventors have really come through with results that I can only describe as “Spectacular!” Not since the TV sitcom about nothing, “Seinfeld”, have I been so encouraged on the state of bra technology.

You have to hand it to the Japanese for developing the Welcome Bra. Not only does the bra actually speak but it is friendly, too. The Japanese lingerie maker, Triumph, hopes that the Wonder Bra will give a boost and lift to tourism. Able to say “Welcome to Japan” in three languages, it was being handed out at the new airport terminal in Tokyo Wednesday as delegates began arriving for the APEC meeting. Previous Japanese innovations in bra technology include a solar-powered bra and a ‘green bra’ that came complete with seeds and could hold two plant pots. Those two perhaps not as thrilling as the wine rack bra or the new magnetic lingerie, but clearly, the multi-language, talking Welcome Bra takes the lead in innovation and utility. Let us hope it helps firm-up, lift and support tourism.
