Actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested by French police on Saturday afternoon. He allegedly was drunk and assaulted an airport lounge employee. Read more about it and see photos and a video of Meyers below.

The gorgeous Irish actor who play Henry VIII in the HBO series, The Tudors, was in a France airport. He allegedly punched a bar employee in the Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris. Its being reported that the bartender in the café area ‘Le Quotidien’ refused to serve Meyers because he already appeared to be drunk. Meyers then got into a verbal argument with the bar manager. When an employee stepped between the two, Meyers punched him.
Meyers, 31-years-old, was handcuffed and taken into custody by French police. He was in custody for several hours. While in custody, he was in sober lock-up for approximately three hours. As a result, Meyers will have to appear before the Correctional Tribunal in Bobigny in September to answer charges of “voluntary violence, contempt, issuing death threats and assault.’
The Tudors actor France airport arrest wasn’t his first. Meyers had a similar incident in November 2007 while in the Dublin airport. At that time, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was arrested for public intoxication. The Dublin incident happened shortly after he’d done a stint in rehab for alcohol abuse.
His publicist hasn’t made any comments on the incident.

He shouldnt be an actor…..he really isnt talented at all. So tired of hearing about him lock him up………………

I can’t imagine a patron punching a bartender frankly. he’s really an extreme example of someone who can’t handle his liquour. another failed rehab story, and to what end?? does anybody really drink in an airport bar alone and then board a plane and fly? get a book.
