Frank Lombard, the associate director of the Center for Health Policy at Duke University has been arrested in an internet porn sting. See his mugshot and read more below.
Frank M. Lombard, Associate Director, Health Inequalities Program at Duke University was arrested and charged with offering his 5-year-old son for sex. He used the internet to offer up his son. His user name was “perv dad for fun”, and he allegedly told an undercover police officer that he had already been molesting his son, whom he adopted in infancy.
While trying to entice the undercover officer to come to North Carolina, he even mentioned the hotel he should take his son to.
Lombard was charged in federal court in Washington with attempting to induce someone to cross state lines to engage in sex with a child. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
An unnamed informant, with child porn problems of his own, provided the information that lead to Lombard’s arrest. Sounds a bit like let’s make a deal.
Authorities at Duke have been cooperating with the FBI and Frank Lombard has been place on unpaid administrative leave.
A search warrant produced five computers, a sex toy, two webcams and numerous other items.
Pedophiles and child porn are nothing new, but this past decade they seem to have multiplied like cockroaches do. Pedophiles have a heavy presence on the internet and it seems as though the public turns a blind eye to an ever growing problem. The majority of us find this kind of behavior incomprehensible and I think we look the other way all to often as a way to minimize the ever growing problem of child pornography and pedophilia. If it makes us uncomfortable to even think about it, imagine how children that are being raped and exploited feel. I wish we would put our childrens’ safety first, and pedophiles and their so called rights be damned.
I have absolutely no tolerance or understanding of pedophiles who have been convicted of their crimes in our courts of law. I feel that our laws are too lax, and we tend to “catch and release”. Most experts concur that there is no cure for pedophilia and when asked, the majority say they don’t want a cure. They want rights … and to be accepted by society for who they are. They truly see themselves as victims, not having a choice in their sexual orientation, which is pedophilia in all its ugly forms.
Many pedophiles truly believe an infant can consent to sexual contact simply by smiling when they’re touched. They are an evil breed of humanoid cells that refuse to leave our children alone.
What are we going to do about it, folks? Already they scream entrapment when caught, rather than admit guilt … and sometimes they walk away from the charges.
I say it’s time we make some noise with our elected officials and toughen up the laws, the sentences. I also believe that those that *simply view* child porn, should receive the same sentence the participating pedophiles do. It is my sincere hope that the death penalty will be on the table eventually.
Frank Lombard is innocent until proven otherwise but should he be found guilty I hope he is sentenced harshly. After all, if true, his son is now serving a life sentence of hell that all abused children tend to lead.

A man who goes through the trouble of adopting a child for s*x is totally sick. There is no help or medicine in the doctor’s bag to change this type no person. He is a thinking s*xual manic

An eye for an eye. He basically killed that little boy. How was someone like this able to adopt a baby in the first place? Was he single?

Mandatory castration would be a first step in the right direction in my opinion.

castration sounds good to me

Good question Sandy. Was he single? All accounts say he is gay, and “partnered”. Why indeed…

I agree with Lydia. He needs what the ancient Aztecs did to unfaithful wives!

It’s time to change the laws - a maximum of JUST 20 years? This animal stalked & ruined this innocent child’s (and possibly others) life.
These pedophiles should be put to death. They can not/should not be recycled back into society.

Why is it that noone seems to understand the effects of internet p0rn? We are all s*xual people….but having the perversions of the internet at our fingertips is breeding an entirely new species of people who think that it is “ok” to act on every and any s*xual impulse, no matter how deviant it is. I am a 31 year old female, and my generation went through the irritation of music being labeled as “explicit lyrics” and being censored. At the time, we were all for free speech, media, etc. Now, it is soooooo beyond that, and I am so sick that nobody is standing up against this. Prostitution and young boys and girls think that selling themselves s*xually is normal….and grown men who know that exploiting these children isn’t right just do it because there’s a sense that “there are others doing it so why can’t I”..so it’s ok. I sincerely believe that something serious has got to be done about the internet p0rn and the ridiculous acceptance of it. What ever happened to secretly hiding a nudey magazine under the bed?….now a person is almost outcast if they don’t have a naked person moaning in their wallpaper….wtf is happening to us????

I am waiting for the candle light vigil for the victim. Amazing how quickly the staff at Duke reacted to the false charges levied against the lacrosse team, yet I’ve read nothing about similar protests against this man.
Oh, but I notice he is a gay man and is much admired for adopting young black children.
Certainly, that could have nothing to do with the difference in reactions?

Castration is the only way we can protect our children from these monsters! Yes, it is time to change the laws. These poor innocent angels are depending on us! We can not be candy a$$es when it comes to handing these monsters their punishment… prison is not enough because as we know, a prison term typically ends and they are free to do this again, but even if they never do it again, they did it this time and the damage is done… they have potentially created another pedophile…. by the things they have done to an innocent child.. This country should adopt some of the laws and penalties that Saudia Arabia has as it relates to this type of evil and inhumane behavior!
