It has been confirmed by ABC’s “Good Morning America” that Scott Township, Pa. man George Sodini, age 48, is the alleged L.A. Fitness Killer. Read about the now infamous George Sodini blog where he writes about his problems with women in an online diary.
George Sodini, who walked into the Latin dance class at the LA Fitness health club, killed 4 people, 3 women and 1 man, injured 15 people and finally turning the gun on himself, had his attack well planned and kept a very disturbing blog at georgesodini.com. In his blog he talks mostly about women, religion and how unlucky he is with women in general. He also makes statements about his dis-functional relationship with his mother and brother.
Why would anyone do this?? To young girls? Just read below. I kept a running log that includes my thoughts and actions, after I saw this project was going to drag on.
He said that the last time he has spent a night with a girlfriend was in 1982, he also had a child with a women in 1991. That he couldn’t find a partner drove him mad. He had tried the attack before on January 1st, but “chickened” out. In his last entry on August 3rd, it reads:
Maybe soon, I will see God and Jesus. At least that is what I was told. Eternal life does NOT depend on works. If it did, we will all be in hell. Christ paid for EVERY sin, so how can I or you be judged BY GOD for a sin when the penalty was ALREADY paid. People judge but that does not matter. I will not be embarrassed, because, well, I will be dead.
You can read George Sodini’s blog entries at georgesodini.com, but when we last checked the service was unavailable, probably due to the high traffic.
Little is known of George Sodini’s biography but it appears that he was dating a woman who went to the L.A. Fitness Gym. She was among those reportedly shot, but survived. Also among the victims was the class instructor, who had just told her class she was pregnant, reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Ole George should have spent more time studying the Bible instead of grieving over what he didn’t have….then he would know there is a special place in hell for murderers like him and he will spend his eternity in worse torment than he ever dreamed of while here on earth. Jesus died so that we could have eternal life but we had to kneel and confess our sins and claim him as our Savior. No follower of Jesus would even think of committing such a heinous act. What a stupid, foolish person.

Tony,
I agree with you that the shooting was an act of a coward. But…..
Why are you angry at the gunmans parents? Do your parents know everything you do? For a grown 48 year old gunman, I’m pretty sure he didn’t discuss this with his parents so why should they be condemned to hell? Obviously, you are not a parent or you would have never made the statement about the parents.
Adults are responsible for their “own” actions, if my adult brother commits a crime am i just as guilty because I’m the sister? Frankly, it’s just silly….

It sounds as though this guy was very aloof, and probably expected women to follow him around because he thought he looked good. Maybe the women didn’t think so, and his male ego could not accept that. I am sure his upbringing had a part in this. If he had truly believed in God and Christ he would have found that peace that passes all understanding and known that God loved him. Immature men turn to violence when they are not in control. I used to be married to one like that, note that I said “used to be Married” to him.Amen

Seems to me that chances are no one was reading his blog and that anyone knowing what was going on in his head was unlikely.first of all his page is password protected as far as blog you have to enter his date of death in order to get in.once you click on life and death on his page you have to guess his date of death to get in which he had as 20090804 so it was his intention for his site to be found after he carried out his plan and died…the media has run with the notion that implies others may have known due to his writings,Chances are no one knew.due to password protect.only his forcasted date of death works to get you in his date of birth wont get you to his blog,at least now it doesn’t.

And another comment ,Had George Sodini found someone to get him some marijuana and had he started smoking it again he may have lost the urge to carry out his plan and just chilled. It may have given him enough sedation to think more clearly. And slow down those crazy thoughts he was having.had medical marijuana been available to him ,lives may have been saved…

Enough with the fairy-tale religious stuff. He had a mental illness, plain and simple. Tragic because you’d think that only teens and early twenty-somethings had this much angst over being alone.
