Stand-Up Comedian Katt Williams, arrested for burglary in Georgia early Monday morning, has denied that he was burglarizing the house he was trying to get into using a crowbar. Williams is calling the incident a misunderstanding and according to his attorney they are simply waiting for The matter to be dropped.

According to Williams’ lawyer, quoted on CNN, Williams was arrested after a dispute with a staff member at the home of producer Barry Hankerson. According to the lawyer:
Hankerson spoke with investigators Monday afternoon to assure them Williams had his permission to stay indefinitely in the home he was accused of burglarizing, Briggs said.
if true, it seems like a pretty cut and dried case, and Williams will not be charged. The New York Times, never one to let a fact get in the way of a good story is stating that the homeowner was the one reporting the break-in.

Williams is known for his roles in the movies “Friday After Next” and “Norbit” and for his comedy DVD, “Katt Williams: Pimpadelic.”

The smile on Katt Williams’ mugshot is pretty funny. I haven’t seen a mugshot that good for a very long time. So, as of right now, Katt Williams, arrested for burglary in Georgia, is waiting for a determination of what his bail is going to end up costing him. Hopefully for Katt Williams this is just a misunderstanding and he won’t have to spend too much time behind bars. What do you all think? If the homeowner really was calling to tell police that Katt Williams’ could stay with him indefinitely then there is no case and this will blow over pretty quickly.

maybe he looked a little too handy with the crowbar. maybe he then accused the police of looking at him. maybe then everyone got heated up. I think if a door was locked it wouldnt have even occured to be to use a crowbar. I would have called the producer to call a locksmith I looked up. I think triple AAA will provide that, or at least get someone to go out there who you could pay.
