Senator and former democratic presidential candidate John Kerry’s oldest daughter, Alexandra Forbes Kerry was arrested on suspicion of a DUI on November 19, 2009. Her previous crimes include wearing a see-thru gown at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004. She wasn’t charged with that, but it certainly was a fashion crime. Senator John Kerry’s daughters have the decided misfortune of taking after their father in their looks. I wouldn’t bring that up except that the main stream media seems to have decided that the children of politicians are fodder for whatever nastiness they want to throw at politicians. Take Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol Palin for example. Actually, you can use any of Sarah Palin’s children as an example of just how far the media will go to hurt a politician. Therefore, the fact that Kerry’s daughters look like him seems like fair game.
Alexandra Kerry is John Kerry’s eldest daughter. She was arrested and charged on DUI charges in Hollywood, California on Thursday, November 19, 2009. She is 36-years-old. She was stopped by the LAPD at 12:40 a.m. on Thursday morning. The aspiring actress, film producer and director tested positive on a sobriety test at the scene. She was arrested and released on $5,000 bond after sitting in jail for about five hours. She tested 0.06 percent on her blood alcohol test.
A 0.06 percent blood alcohol level is not legally drunk in California. However, she refused to take a sobriety test at the scene where she was stopped. She was driving with an expired registration and the police made the decision to charge her with DUI because her driving was impaired.
Alexandra and her younger sister Vanessa are the products of Kerry’s first marriage that ended in divorce in 1988. Prior to getting a DUI the other night, she is noted for wearing a see-through dress on the red-carpet at the Cannes film festival during her father’s unsuccessful presidential campaign in 2004. She was premiering her short film, ‘The Last Full Measure’ at Cannes that year.
Kerry will appear in court on December 10, 2009 to face the charges against her.

Its much easier to get an dui now than when I was growing up. Many people went to friday liquid office lunches and the bars for a drink after work or after dinner to someones home and they were a bit sloushed and certainly dui material. In fact, now the very same area, has secured police overtime grants from the state to set up roadblocks to get dui’ers and those they can scoop up on the war on drugs. then they get arrested, possibly booked, jailed, certainly fined and courted, maybe even a warrant or three. its a big money maker for the town. it ruins many productive peoples lives as any kind of even an arrest record is now held forever aginst you for applying for jobs or licenses. back then they only held convictions against people. now they are going after arrests, of whom half american males will get at sometime in their lives. Its overkill. but profitable and it scares everyone from not living their lives. for her to get her first dui is not a great earth shaker for me. as far as cannes goes, her parents are billionaires thanks to heinz katchup I believe. so back then they didn’t consider drinking and being a bit buzzed was a criminal act. now they do. Now even one drink on an empty stomach can put some adults over the limit.
